Science in the Beginning is the first book in a hands-on, multilevel elementary science series that introduces scientific concepts using history as its guide. Because each lesson is built around an activity or experiment, it is engaging for all K-6 students. In addition, there are three levels of review for each lesson, so the parent/teacher can choose the depth at which each student is expected to grasp the material. The course contains roughly 90 hours of instruction, 35 of which are composed of hands-on activities.
The beginning of history is given in the Bible's creation account, and this book uses the days of creation as a way of introducing a wide range of scientific concepts including the nature of light, energy conservation, the properties of air and water, introductory botany, our solar system, basic zoology, and some aspects of human anatomy and physiology. As the students learn about these scientific concepts, they are constantly reminded of the Creator who fashioned the marvels they are studying.
This product is a set consisting of the textbook plus the helps & hints book containing everything the parent/teacher needs to know for the subject.

"I absolutely LOVE this curriculum! I am using it to teach at our co-op, and it is wonderful. The easy experiments with every lesson make this curriculum entertaining and interesting to my 3rd-5th grade students. I highly recommend this curriculum for the elementary student."
"...my boys are BEGGING for science every day! No kidding. You did a great job making the information "meaty" enough for my 6th grader and, yet, my 2nd grader also understands and can reiterate the concepts, too."
"We are enjoying your brand new elementary science curriculum, Science in the Beginning. Both of our kids (and I) look forward to science every week! I appreciate that common household objects are required for the seemingly simple experiments. The activities are easy enough for my 6-yr-old to understand, yet complex enough for my 10-yr-old to still glean something new and stay interested. I am finding most of the experiments to be quite cleverly set up. I love doing these lessons with the kids so I can watch for the glint of understanding in their eyes when they get it."
"My 15 year old twins have used Apologia from K-9th grade and we discovered Science in the Beginning last year when looking for curriculum for my 1st grader. We absolutely LOVE it!!!! The daily experiments help to solidify the lessons and my little one has much better grasp on the material than my older kids ever had at that age."
"...we've found it really user friendly (even though we've got a spread of ages.)"
